The below diagram depicts the relaxed cruising radius of 5-R. Carriers are 1700 yards from the center, cruisers and battleships 3000 yards from the center, and the destroyers were 6000 yards out.

During attacks, the destroyers would collapse to radius 5-V. At Victor, the tin cans joined the battleship and cruiser ring of defense.
